As a national center for excellence in the culinary and hospitality arts, the Midwest Culinary Institute is passionate about spreading its fervor for excellent cuisine to its international cadre of students and beyond. MCI is pleased to invite members of the local community to eat, create, and enjoy an array of fine food and drink at several MCI venues:
- The Summit Restaurant, a working classroom and celebration of the culinary arts. Chef Sean Kagy and his team coach a staff of students on fine food preparation and professional restaurant management;
- Bakery Hill, a retail bakery on Cincinnati State premises that sells scrumptious pastries and other sweets. Bakery Hill also provides exquisite, delicious specialty cakes and pastries for an extensive public clientele;
MCI educates the public in the fine art of food creation and service through:
- Creations Cooking Classes, sponsored by Kroger and presented on campus. From Italian specialties to summertime grilling goodies, participants create and eat the dishes they create under the tutelage of master food instructors. Beginners and advanced cooks alike enjoy these popular classes;
- Corporate Teambuilding and Events, designed to bring groups together for shared cooking experiences that enhance creativity, build trust, and reinforce the power of working together.
